Lagrein Tramin 2014

Lagrein is a typical grape of the Alto Adige region. Made both in red and rose', known respectively as Scuro or Dunkel and Kretzer or Rosato,  it has aromas of raspberries and spices like nutmeg. We are near the border with Austria and very close to the Alps. The climate is very warm during the summer and the soil is a mix of sand and gravel. Many people in this region are bilingual and german terms often appear on wine labels.

Tramin is a sustainble winery that grows various grapes, including Schiava, Lagrein, Gewurztraminer and Pinot Noir.

The Lagrein 2014 is very smooth and round, with little tannins. Medium-bodied, it is characterized by aromas of red fruits and berries (in particular, blueberry and rasperry). It has a long length and can be paired well with cheeses and charcuterie. Highly recommended for aperitif!
