Gelateria dei Gracchi: Gelato to die for in Rome

In the Prati area of Rome there is an excellent gelateria located in a small street, very popular among locals. Gelateria Dei Gracchi, which now has three branches, offers gluten-free, fresh, creamy ice cream. There is a wide range of flavuours to choose from and many options available for lactose-intolerant.

Fruits are local and seasonal; whereas their specialities are from Southern Italy, like "mandorla" (almonds) and pistacchio di Bronte (pistacios from Sicily). My favourites are cioccolato cubano (with dark chocolate and rum), pistacchio and zabaione (made of milk, eggs and Marsala). To die for. Small wonder Anthony Bourdain featured this gelateria in his show and praised its qualities.
A must-try if you love gelato and you are in Rome!
